We provide aerial support to help protect
and restore wildlife in Africa.

Our 2030 Goal

Reach 3,000 flight hours, covering more than 300,000 kilometers, and have supported 15 conservation areas across Africa.

Our Work

Our aircraft has flown over 1,500 hours of conservation missions, covering a distance of more than 150,000 km.

Milestones

2016

  • In March 2016, Wings for Conservation is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, as a foundation for nature conservation activities.

2019

  • Purchase of our second aircraft, a Cessna 172.

  • Aircraft flies 186 hours, covering 27,000 kilometers.

  • The process for the creation of Zah-Soo National Park is started.

2017

  • Granted non-profit status in the Netherlands (ANBI).

  • Purchase of our first aircraft.

  • Signature of a three year MOU with the Chadian Government.

2020

  • Aircraft flies 198 hours, covering 28,000 kilometers.

  • Renewal of the MOU with the Chadian Government for five years until 2025.

2018

  • Arrival and field deployment of our aircraft in Chad.

  • Aircraft flies 262 hours of conservation missions in the first year, covering 36,000 kilometers.

2021

  • Aircraft flies 273 hours, covering 41,000 kilometers.

  • Discovery of a new giraffe population in central Chad.

  • Recording of the largest group of Dama gazelles in the wild in several decades.

2022

  • Aircraft flies 484 hours, covering 70,000 kilometers.

  • Zah-Soo National Park is created.

  • Recording of the highest daily counts (over 40) of Dama gazelles in the wild in several decades.

  • First project outside of Chad, in  Niger.
